Top 3 Most Convenient Ways to Study

From About.com

Everything else in life seems to be geared towards quicker, easier, smaller, and more portable. Why not the tools you use to study? Forget the cumbersome books. Toss your backpacks and notebooks. Ditch the classroom. Here are some great products designed to let you study on the go.

1. Training Podcasts

If you are like me, and carry some sort of portable player with you everywhere (for me it's my iPhone), then getting training via podcast is an amazingly convenient way to study. I have found four certification podcasts, two for PMP, one for CCNA, and another for the A+.
  • One PMP podcast is available through True Solutions or by searching for "True Solution" in iTunes
  • Another PMP podcast can be found on iTunes by searching for pm411.org
  • The A+ podcast can be found on iTunes by searching for "Scott Ford".
  • A networking podcast with frequent topics on the CCNA can be found on iTunes by searching for "OnNetworking".

2. Video Training

Video training is becoming very popular and is a great way to learn at your own pace. I have had the chance to view several products and they have all proven to be a great way to get a classroom experience without the time and travel commitments. Video training is much more expensive than podcasts, which are wonderfully free, and even audio training. However, the videos are extremely effective.

3. Audio Training

Yet another alternative to the classroom is training on cd. You can listen to it at home, in the car, in the office, or anywhere you can play a cd. The review that is linked to below only discusses a single product. If you find audio training elsewhere, be sure to download a sample so you can determine the quality of the training before you purchase.
